$73,000 in student loan debt for a degree I couldn’t finish because a guy decided he wasn’t too drunk to drive. (He was!) I got nothing from his insurance company…because he didn’t have one.
$25,000 in credit card debt from rent, medical bills, and food while I was out of work for a year. My cards are maxed out.
I finally got a full time job but my bills are so overwhelming I’m forced to take classes at night full time to avoid having to pay my student loan debt. I am away from home 100+ hours a week.
I have $4.97 left for two weeks of food when all is said and done. If it wasn’t for dumpster diving I wouldn’t be able to eat. I just found out I need dental work, but I’m one of the lucky ones.
I am just one of the 99%
I won’t even get to the collection calls from the hospital, and that’s WITH insurance.
