Paco’s owner developed a severe allergy after being with Paco for 25 years. Needless to say, Paco misses her. I try to look at the bright side, being that the lady was a senior, and it could only be a matter of time before more health issues appeared that would’ve lead to a more abrupt and uncontrolled relinquishing of him.
He’s a big healthy boy up for adoption through BOPS. He’ll need someone with patience and understanding.
This bird has pleanty more years left in him.
This is why we need to stop the breeding of these long-living birds, and find homes for the *domesticated birds.
*Domesticated - no longer suited for the wild despite being only 1-2 generations from being wild, unlike dogs and cats whom had YEARS to be genuinely domesticated
